Abstract |
The research aims to propose a vision to reduce the war impact on the education sector in light of the added value index. To achieve objectives of the study, we follow the descriptive approach. A questionnaire was prepared. It consists of (32) phrases divided into 3 categories to detect the war impact on education outcomes (student performance) in the cognitive domain, and self-kinesthetic, performance and skill. This questionnaire has been distributed among (186) teachers from schools in eastern and northern parts of Gaza. The results show that the most affected sides are the social and psychological followed by the skill and performance domain and then the cognitive one. The results revealed that the war impacted heavily the student's ability to remember and retrieve knowledge, attention, focus, creativity and innovation. On measuring acquisition ratio, results showed that some schools were able to adapt to the adverse effects of war, and other schools have stumbled in overcoming the negative effects of war on the functioning of the educational process and therefore not able to provide added value to its students . The study provides a proposed vision to reduce the effects of war in learning outputs in relation of the added value index. |
