Abstract

This study aims at identifying the most important problems facing students living in shelters in northern Gaza province and ways to overcome them. And detecting whether there was a difference in the problems according to the study variables "Sex, job, educational qualification, number of family members, the number of students in the family." To achieve the objectives of the study the researchers used the descriptive analytical method. the questionnaire was applied on a sample of (77) parents, and after the data is statistically analyzed using the program (spss) commonly used in the social sciences, the researchers found that the problems facing students living in shelters in northern Gaza province in descending order as follows: educational problems where the average was (3.97) and the relative weight was (79.42) And psychological problems where the average was (3.85) and the relative weight was (76.97). And social problems where the average was (3.50) and the relative weight was (70.01). As for the variables of the study, which is in "Sex, job, educational qualification, the number of family members, the number of students in the family." There are no statistically significant differences. The study recommended the need to take care of the psychological and social support programs, providing material support to them, also the activation of the role of psychological and educational guidance in schools, taking into account the students living in shelters, open the way for civil society organizations to take indicative role towards students living in shelters, educating parents on how to deal with the psychological, social and educational children problems, taking into account the social and family circumstances of the parents of the students living in shelters, providing them what they need, the need to guide the teachers in schools taking into account the conditions of the students who live in shelters, forming a specialized academic committee to follow the problems of the students living in shelters and evaluate the students' levels on an ongoing basis and work on development.
