Abstract

The Syrian relations in the PLO witnessed continuous circumstances of ups and downs, agreements, disagreements, and stops. Syria had the biggest role in admitting PLO as legal representative for Palestinian people, but in stages ahead it tried to have basic power in the Palestinian national decision and the cut between the two countries took place after signing Oslo agreement in 1993 because Yasser Arafat signed it without telling the Syrian leadership and as Syria is very important country with great number of refugees and political powers representatives. The Syrian leadership supported all Palestinians Parties who stood against Oslo Agreement including Hamas. This led to the start in the relations back after the death of Hafiz El Asad and taking over the ruling by his sun Bashar. Yasser Arafat refused offering and lowernesses in Camp David Second Agreement and Al Aqsa Uprising, 2000 came to shape very important turn in the history of the Palestinian case directing a hit to the Oslo agreement. Syria didn’t hide its happiness concerning Hamas wining in 2006 elections because Syria used it as actual to the Palestinians Struggling Parties and T\this Syria can use this as a new stressing paper facing any American stresses. This study aimed to know the nature of Palestinian Syrian relationships before Oslo Agreement and differences between the tow sides of the Agreement stopping on the great reflection of Oslo on the relationships, showing the changes happened in 2000 like the death of Syrian President Hafiz El Asad and taking over of his son Bashar with his react to Camp David, Al Aqsa Uprising and winning of Hamas in 2000 elections. The Importance of this study lies in presenting informations for researchers in the political issues about the nature of relationships between the two countries depending on the Historical Descriptive and Analytical methods. This study pointed out that the inner, national and international circumstances for both Palestine and Syria played a big role in the change and development in the relationships negatively or positively as for that long time Syria was trying to play a real, outer national role looking forward to play spectacular role in the peace and peace scale in the region to enhance it’s national status in the Middle East and other participants. • This study included three main points: • First: The Palestinian Syrian Relationships (1948-1991). • Second: The Palestinian Syrian Relationships (1991-2000). • Third: The Palestinian Syrian Relationships (2000-2006).
