TitleLeft-Handed Materials-Photonic Crystal Waveguide Sensors
Untitled
Abstract

In this work, the propagation of TE polarized wave in a multilayer one dimensional photonic crystal consisting of alternate right-handed material and left-handed materials has been theoretically investigated. The sensitivity of above-mentioned optical waveguide sensor is derived and analyzed for various physical parameters of the structure. High values of the sensitivity have been found compared to the conventional waveguide sensor.
