|Title||Optimal ripple-free deadbeat controllers for systems with time delays|
A ripple-free deadbeat controller for a system with time delays is proposed. Our approach to this problem uses an affine matrix parametrization of the Diophantine equation. Based on this parametrization, LMI conditions are provided for optimal or constrained controllers with design quantities such as overshoot, undershoot, control amplitude, "slew rate" as well as for norm bounds such as l/sub 1/, l/sub 2/ and l/sub /spl infin//.
