This study aimed to identify the role of human resources management in the information industry at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), through the main study dimensions. The researchers used the descriptive analytical method and the data has been collected through a questionnaire which is designed for this purpose. The sample of the defined population of the study was 268 of academic and administrative staff at the IUG. Using a stratified random sampling method, 300 questionnaires were distributed and the received responses rate was 89.3%. The results showed a statistical significant relationship in the response of the respondents between the study dimensions and information industry in IUG. In addition to the fact that the Islamic University has a good level in IT industry, in terms of the use of computerized programs that serve the various sections and departments, along with an easier access to the electronic databases provided by the central library which fits the number of beneficiaries. The study came out with several recommendations: The university should focus on the human element in the establishment of knowledge society, working on developing his skills continuously, ensuring the provision of the a special budget for scientific research at the university.
