Abstract

Bacteria residing the gastrointestinal tract of neonates have a crucial role in man's health. These bacteria's role includes various functions such as helping the growth and differentiation of epithelial cells, strengthening the mucous membrane lining the tract, supporting the maturity and development of the immune system, inhibition of the pathogenic and promoting beneficial relations, nutrient assimilation especially carcinogenic substances, and inhibition of cancer. These bacteria colonize the gastrointestinal gut at the moment of birth, and their role depends on their composition in the intestine. The first bacteria to colonize the gut are important in determining the person's lifelong gut flora makeup, and imbalance in the composition of the gut microbiota results in diseases. Teachings of the Quran and Sunna related to neonates constitute a scientific miracle as they give rules by God to ensure the normal bacterial composition: 1 eating date during labor and feeding with mother's milk minimize the percentage of pathogenic bacteria among the pioneer colonizers 2 the security the infant enjoys when he is with his mother during breastfeeding promotes the presence and dominance of beneficial bacteria in
