Titleمنهج الإمام محمد بن المثنى في الجرح والتعديل
Title in Arabicمنهج الإمام محمد بن المثنى في الجرح والتعديل
Abstract

The researcher concisely investigated the biography of Imam Muhammad bin Muthanna Anzi, and his status in invalidating and validating narrators of the prophet's sayings (Jarh and Tadeel), and tracked his judgmental statements in the criticism of the narrators. Besides, she compared his opinions with those of other critics. The researcher pinpointed the features of his approach to validating and invalidating the narrators, shed light on his strictness and tolerance in this respect, and classified his critical terminology into ranks. One of the goals of this research was to highlight the importance of learned men science and its status among modern sciences. The researcher has recommended other researchers to compile separate books on the various methods of Imams in the criticism of men, and to highlight their efforts to defend the Sunna.
