TitleTraining Needs for staff Members at Palestinian Universities: The Islamic University – case study

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the faculty members of the Islamic University in Gaza training needs. The study aimed to identify the faculty members of the Islamic University in Gaza training needs, the researcher used the analytical and descriptive study consisted tool (61) items distributed on fields of study, and the tool was applied to the sample included (51) faculty at the Islamic University members in the summer semester 2015/2016 and after the necessary data collection and analysis, it turns out that there is a need for many courses in the following areas: The field of personal skills where he obtained a relative weight (82.60), and teaching skills have earned on the relative weight (79.50), and the field of leadership skills have earned the relative weight (76.23), and the field of research skills have earned the relative weight (73.40), Technical Skills technology has obtained relative weight (67.86). And there is no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥ α) between the mean scores of members of the study sample estimate training needs necessary for faculty members at the Islamic University are attributable to the variables of the study (sex, years of service, scientific degree).
