This study aimed at revealing the mental characteristics for men of understanding in the light of the Holly Quran from an educational perspective. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the deductive approach in order to devise the most important mental characteristics for men of understanding in the light of the interpretations of Quranic verses containing "Men of Understanding", which are sixteen verses. The study concluded that men of understanding are characterized by nine mental characteristics that distinguish them from others. Those characteristics include: right conducting, balancing between righteousness and viciousness, the doctrine of priorities, wisdom (proficiency), integrity of understanding, the fruitful contemplation, studiousness of the standards of excellence, taking lessons from historical practices, and contrive leading to certitude. The study recommended giving the Holly Quran a special importance in private educational institutions, as a source of guidance and wisdom. Besides, the study recommended the inclusion of the skills of dealing with the Holly Quran in universities' teacher preparation programs, which lead to understanding its verses, and devising its educational aspects.
