Title | A Variational Approach for the Two-Dimensional Magnetopolaron |
---|---|
Untitled | |
Abstract |
The problem of a two-dimensional magnetopolaron was studied in the strong coupling regime and using a variational theory consisting of an adiabatic polaronic wavefunction combined with a perturbative correction by which it is possible to interrelate the strong and the weak coupling counterparts of the coupled electron-phonon system. It is seen that the theory conveniently reproduces the desirable asymptotic limits in the different regimes of the problem. Furthermore, the coherent phonon state operator was modified for strong magnetic field limit such that it is setting up the most efficient state as centered on the orbit center rather than at the origin. |
