|Title||Best Approximation and Best Co-Approximation in Normed Space|
In this thesis, the concept of best approximation and best co-approximation in normed linear spaces is studied. The concepts of ε-best approximation and ε-best co-approximation and ε-orthogonality are introduced and the relations between these concepts are obtained. Also the maps which preserve approximation are discussed. Some results are studied. For example, if the operator on a normed space is an isometry, then it preserves all approximation properties.
