TitleThe Important Factors in Crisis Management for INGOs in the Gaza Strip from Employees’ Perspective

Abstract

The main aim of this research is to enhance the role of INGOs in crisis management by identifying the factors that play an important role in the preparedness and response to the crisis in Gaza Strip and give recommendations for all stakeholders to enhance the effective intervention and management of the crisis. In order to collect the needed data for this research, the researcher uses the secondary resources in collecting data such as books, journals, statistics and web pages, in addition to preliminary resources that includes questionnaires reflecting sample’s opinions about the Important Factors in Crisis Management for the INGOs in the Gaza Strip. The targeted groups of research are the international non-governmental organizations including the united nation agencies. The researcher distributed 68 questionnairs and used the descriptive analysis of data using Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS). The main result of this research is that modern information technology system. The high quality of the training programs, the high qualification of the trainers, the high level of communication and coordination among stakeholders, the good transportation system, the high qualifications of the employees and the high experience of the organizations plays an important role in the crisis management The research recommends that the INGOs should concentrate more on using the modern technology and paying more attention to the training programs they are providing for their employees.
