|Title||Designing Power Inverter with Minimum Harmonic Distortion Using Fuzzy Logic Control|
In recent years, there has been a rapidly growing demand for high quality power inverter. The inverter performs the opposite function of a rectifier, where it is a high-power electronic oscillator, which converts DC to AC in different shapes. In light of this fact, this thesis will present the analysis and design of fuzzy logic control (FLC) of a single-phase voltage source inverter with the utilization of an L-C filter and voltage sensor. It also presents a comparative study between classical PI (proportional integral) controller and the fuzzy logic controller implemented by Matlab simulation. The research simulation results show that the proposed FLC can reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) under linear loading condition. Hardware design experiment is presented for a 1kVA, 50Hz power inverter under various loading conditions to demonstrate and validate the proposed research study.
