Study aim: The study aimed to identify the impact of using (Predict- Observe - Explain) Model on the development of some of the habits of the productive mind in the science course among seventh graders. Study tools: To measure the extent of seventh graders’ acquisition of the mind habits, a test of (40) items was constructed. Study sample: The study purposive sample was selected from Al-Rafidian Elementary School (A) in the West Gaza Directorate, and then two classes were randomly chosen, one control group of (42) female students, and the other experimental of (41) female students. Study Methodology: In this study, the researcher used the quasi experimental approach. The researcher adopted the two equivalent groups (control and experimental) design, as she taught the experimental group using the (Predict- Observe - Explain) Model, and the control group was using the traditional method. The pre-posttest was used to measure the mind habits. Study most important findings: There are statistically significant differences at the level (a) between the average of the students, marks in experimental group and that of their peers in the control group in the test of some habits of the productive mind in favor of the experimental group Study most important recommendations: Paying attention to the development of mind habits in general, as well as the habits needed by seventh graders in the unit of the physical properties of the material, namely: the application of the previous knowledge in the new situations, questioning and posing problems, reciprocal thinking, thinking and clear and concise communication, creativity, vision and innovation, thinking flexibly, and thinking about thinking.
