Abstract

Abstract The study addressed the reality of religious services in Gaza strip, which is one of the modern geographical studies, where it was highlighted by identifying the geography of services and it’s importance for the population to be familiar with it’s types, distribution and the extent of the application of international planning standards in religious facilities of Gaza governorate, As well as study the natural and human factors that affect the creation and distribution of religious services in Gaza governorate. The study aimed to recognize the distribution of religious services geographically, and the extent of necessary potentials for religious services facilities, and identify the most important determinants of engineering and architectural influential in religious services facilities, showing the most important problems facing religious services. The study depended on many curriculums, include: regional, historical, and descriptive, analytical, beside to using some of statistical geographical measures to know results of analysis samples, as using the statistical test ( one sample T – Test ) which is (T) for one sample to measure the relative weight between variables. The study found that there are clear shortcomings and defects in the spatial distribution of religious services, and to shed light on the neighborhoods hit by the randomization using many spatial distribution methods which have been used to identify the best neighborhoods prevalent mosques, and have found that many services built without reference to planning standards, As well, the study shows that the region needs to create many religious memorization centers and Islamic schools. In light of the results the study recommends pursuing religious services better than it is, and establish a database of all religious services, as well as create a special unit of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and follow the international planning standards when creating any religious service, and work to follow a unified architectural style for religious services facilities.
