TitleAlmuradi's Attitude Towards Sebawaih: An Analytical Study of his Books

Abstract

Abstract This descriptive and analytical study examines the position of Al-Muradi towards “ Sibawayh “ who is the chief of grammarians and the owner of the first book on grammar, as Al-Muradi is considered an expert master of grammar and language in the eighth Century AH . This research is divided into an introduction,a preface and three chapters. The preface discusses an exposition of Al-Muradi who is Al-Hasan Bin Abdullah Bin Ali, also known as Ibn Um Qasem. The first chapter discusses the subject matters in which Al-Muradi agreed with Sibawayeh in his books. The second chapter points out the subject matters in which he disagreed with Sibawayeh. The last chapter includes Al-Muradi’s grammar approach. Then the researcher provides keyfindings and recommendations followed by a listing of the study’s sources and references.
