The aim of the study was to know the effectiveness of Stress release program on decreasing migraine headache among adult female students in University college of applied sciences Gaza strip, the study depended on Quasi-experiment design, the sample of the study was 22 subjects distributed to two groups; (11) subjects for case group and another (11) subjects for control group. It was homogeneity between the two groups in terms of age, educational level, and family income level. Both groups' case and control completed the Stressful Life Situations Scale and Migraine Headache Scale before and after applying the program. The study depended on applying a six weeks program consist of 12 sessions, each session 45 minutes, the program techniques were (cognitive behavioral therapy, breathing exercise, and meditation). The results indicated that there were statistical difference of stress level in the case group before and after applying the program the (P value was 0.009). In addition, the results indicated that there were statistical difference of stress level in the case and control group after applying the program (P value was 0.002). Furthermore, the results indicated that there were statistical difference of migraine headache after applying the program (P value was 0.000) On conclusion, the results indicated a positive significant correlation between stress and migraine because there is differences in migraine scale before and after applying the program. The results also ensure the efficient of program techniques on decreasing stress level and on the other hand decrease migraine headache that indicate the positive relation between stress and migraine headache. Finally, the study made a several recommendations regarding the effectiveness of stress release program on decreasing migraine headache. The researcher recommends that university decision makers can provide students with a psychological, social and academic counseling in order to decrease the students stress. Therefore, they can achieve better and have a good mental health. They also can involve students with different activities to reduce the gaps between them. In addition, they can provide students with a suitable teaching and learning methods in order to decrease their academic stress. Future recommendations include, Screening for students with stress and apply the program with them, screening for migraine headache among male students, and screening for migraine headache among students in the others university and colleges.
