Abstract

This study aimed to determine the programs and activities provided by student clubs and promote the cultural identity of the university students, and to determine the level of participation of female students in those programs and activities, and how they benefit from those activities, and to identify the factors leading to poor participation of students in those programs and activities, and to develop a vision Searches to activate the role of student clubs in the promotion of the cultural identity among university students. To achieve the objectives of the study the researchers interviewed (40) female students from the Islamic University of different disciplines and levels, and the Committee responsible for the clubs and collaborative work, and a faculty member and educational coordinator club, One of the most important findings of the study include: • The percentage of female students is in high student activities (60%), and the proportion of students benefiting from their participation in activities %)75). • that more factors leading to poor participation of female students in the university student activities include: Not sufficiently promoted it receives students from faculty members, times activities unsuitable Most of them are in the leisure time university is the only outlet for students, busy students in his spare time university to perform activities that are required courses university, not the posts in the activities of any estimate (degrees) in Calendar final of courses. In light of the results of the study proposal was a perception, and the most important recommendations of the study to provide financial support for clubs, and the allocation of places for some independent clubs and non-subordination of the Student Council.
