Abstract

This study aimed to know the level of written discourse skills for students who read Quran by heart and those who do not, and to know the differences in these level skills between the two groups. The researcher used the analytic descriptive method and he made a tool for composition subjects' content analysis. He depended on its consisting on a questionnaire for written composition. The questionnaire included three scopes: The first: subject organizing skills, (6) Items, the second: style skills, (10) items. The third: subject writing skills, (9) Items, the researcher made subjective composition analysis on (186) students. The study concludes the results of possessive level of these skills for students who read the Quran by heart and those who are normal, and the study clarified the advance of those who read the Quran by heart than normal in the total marks for content analysis tool factor and also in each scope separately.
