TitleThe degree of Cooperation between Elementary Schools' Principals and their Deputies in Gaza Governorates and its Relationship with School Performance Effectiveness

Abstract

Study Aims: the study aimed at identifying the degree of cooperation between elementary schools’ principals and their deputies in Gaza Governorates and its relationship with the level of effectiveness of school performance from the viewpoint of teachers. Research Methodology: the researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach. Study Tool: the researcher designed two questionnaires containing (78) items. Study Sample: The study sample consisted of (400) elementary school teachers in Gaza Governorates. The most important Conclusions: The degree of cooperation between the elementary school principals and their deputies in Gaza Governorates from the viewpoint of their teachers was (78.40%), which was a high percentage. There were no statistically significant differences at the significance level of (α≤0.05) between the study sample’s mean scores of the degree of cooperation between the elementary schools’ principals and their deputies attributed to the academic qualification and years of service variables. However, there were statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of the female teachers. The level of effectiveness of elementary schools’ performance in Gaza Governorates from the teachers’ viewpoint was (76.20%), which was a high percentage. There were no statistically significant differences at the significance level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of study sample of the effectiveness of school performance attributed to the academic qualification and years of service variables. However, there were statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of the female teachers. There was a positive correlation between the study sample’s mean scores of the degree of cooperation between the elementary school principals and their deputies and the level of the effectiveness of school performance. The main recommendations of the study included: Activating the role of the Ministry of Education in promoting cooperation between the school principal and his/her deputy for the benefit of the educational process. The need for the school administration to enhance teacher training courses aimed at honing their skills and upgrading their performance.
